Abstract
Studies on post-harvest storage of tomatoes (Cv. Sioux) at ambient temperature (23-30 degree C) showed that by continuously flushing the storage atmosphere with air saturated with moisture, tomatoes showed less weight loss, slower changes in firmness, total soluble solids, and external colour and as a consequence an extended shelf life (18 days as compared to 8 days for control).
