Abstract
This presentation draws on the experience at Lincoln, and extensive research work including an
HEA funded project - ‘Pedagogies of Partnership’' as well as many local research projects exploring research engaged learning in the disciplines, the evaluation of the Student as Producer project at Lincoln and work on a current HEFCE funded project to pilot measures of Learning Gain. It considers the context and background to this work, What is ‘student as producer’? Who benefits from engaging students in research? and ways of engaging students in this endeavour. The presentation includes exploration of student engagement beyond the curriculum at Lincoln to give a flavour of the way student engagement is embedded in the wider culture of work at Lincoln.
