Abstract
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) issued a competency framework for the Nigerian banking industry which came into full effect from November 2014. The policy recognises that banks should accord priority to the enhancement of human capital. This article discusses the framework, analysing its prospects at solving the problems of incompetency in the human capital of banks in Nigeria.
