Abstract
This chapter draws on one aspect of an evaluative research project to consider the challenges and opportunities evident in multi-agency approaches to promoting the rights of children affected by violence against women. In particular the chapter explores one aspect of the research which focused on how agencies can work collaboratively, in a complex social environment, to facilitate effective information sharing, co-facilitation of service delivery and development of a shared understanding and standardized approach to domestic violence and negative family conflict. This is achieved through consideration of four emergent themes; the complexity of multi-agency work; the management of cross referral processes; the appropriate use of a range of services; and awareness raising in the multi-agency context.
