Abstract

An analysis of three adaptations of Galileo by prominent British playwrights Howard Brenton, David Edgar and David Hare. Concentrates on the 2006 production adapted by David Hare, and focuses on the way Galileo’s character changes thanks to the inclusion or omission of certain scenes (the plague scenes).
