Abstract

This is one of two major sections of the book Stained Glass of Lincoln Cathedral. This section discusses the post-medieval glazing scheme. Particular attention is paid to: the role of the historian Charles Winston in advising both Ward and Hughes and George Hedgeland; the activities of Frederick Sutton and Augustus Sutton as amateur glass painters; the windows of Clayton and Bell.
