Abstract

‘Open House’ is the result of collaboration with multi-disciplinary artist Angie Butler of the Pet Galerie Press. This two-volume set of artists’ books – No.18 and No.42, was created especially for the ‘Sense of Place’ exhibition, curated by Karen Kinoshita at the University of Minnesota. The places where we live are intrinsically linked with revealing who we are; together we decided to carry out some domestic archaeology, by giving each other an on line tour of our homes, to unearth a variety of narratives and hopefully, a wealth of new information. The books are accompanied by an on-going blog: http://www.yourplacemyplaceproject.blogspot.co.uk/
