Abstract

Inter-professional learning (IPL) which involves service users and carers in developing services and the education of health and social care professionals is high on the UK Governments' agenda (Department of Health & Quality Assurance Agency, 2006). Teesside University has combined both components within an innovative IPL model launched in 2008 across all first year pre-registration programmes involving 950 students in the School of Health and Social Care.
