Abstract

This chapter examines what the existing multifactorial theories of sexual offending tell us about the role of cognition, emotion, and motivational goals. Each theory is a briefly outlined to reacquaint the reader with its core assumptions, followed by a thorough evaluation of the theory in terms of how it conceptualizes and accounts for each construct.
