Abstract

• The University is responsible for the practice preparation of student nurses.

• This includes CPR and Moving & Handling training.

• Academic staff find it difficult to remain skilled to the desired level for teaching students.

• Charities delivering such training can enhance the quality of the student experience whilst being mutually
beneficial.
